Kim Clement’s 2014 Prophecy—So Compelling…So False

The conservative Christian population was always going to be pro-Trump. His total support of the policies of Benjamin Netanyahu, his authority to appoint RW judges, and his pro-life statements made him their inevitable choice. But the Trump prophets caused Christians to be afraid to question if Trump was God’s choice.

The pastors of conservative churches painted the Democrats as the enemies of God, so voting for any Democrat would be rebellion against the Almighty. Dem leaders are not people to them. Certainly not people of faith. Thanks to Fox News, the Christian Right Wing has no idea what they think, do, or stand for. I’m trying to give readers the theological vocabulary to change that. IF perchance a Democrat candidate or office holder has any faith at all and believe in the power of prayer, they should tell the conservatives and listen to their concerns. Let them know there are more ways to worship Christ than as a Tea Party anti-science Republican.

In two former blogs dealing with prophecy and politics, I shared revelations from Mark Taylor and Kim Clement. Clement started a trend in 2007, predicting future greatness and influence from Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, and Bill Gates. Next came the 2011 Commander-in-Chief Prophecy from Mark Taylor. These prophecies sounded awesome in the days when most Christians thought of Trump as merely a reality show star. According to the narrative, the revelations were supported by preternatural signs and wonders. It was all so compelling!

The view from 2020, especially from the Left, is that the prophetic claims are ludicrous and embarrassing. Even Fox News is starting to turn on Trump, and he is turning on them, as he does anyone who says anything negative about him. Today, we have 2020 hindsight, but in 2014, Trump barely had the White House in his crosshairs, and no one would believe that he could ever be elected president.

In February, 2014, the band played on Clement's dim stage, and the late prophet stood before his keyboard. With silky voice and flowing, shoulder-length black hair and golden tongue, he was quite the imposing figure.

“The Spirit of God says, ‘My people have cried, my people have cried out for an answer, and this is what I have to say,’ says the spirit of Elijah” [Oh my! Elijah channeling through Kim Clement!]. “A veil has been placed upon this nation and I did it! [the Obama administration, of course.]. I did it so that for a season my people would wonder and faith would increase, for in darkness [a Democratic administration is a reign of darkness] faith grows. In despair, faith grows. I did it! But now my fury has ended.”

[This slander against Obama as an instrument of darkness and wrath is outrageous and undeserved. There were no scandals in the Obama White House. Under Trump, the scandals and shocks roll in daily. To use the sanctity of prophecy to falsely smear a sitting U.S. president because he isn’t a member of your party is ugly and dangerous, but the Christians loved it. They didn’t know about Trump’s association with Russians and mafia types or that Trump’s campaign, transition, and early administration associates would wind up indicted by Mueller’s Special Counsel, or that just before the 2016 election, Trump, his attorney Michael Cohen, and pal Pecker of the National Enquirer would arrange to pay off two porn stars to keep their stories out of the news. RW media painted the Obamas and Hillary in the darkest possible terms. I’m sure Kim thought, What could possibly go wrong?]

“Hear me! For I have found a man after my own heart. I have found a man after my own heart, and he is among you. He is one of the brothers that is singled out for the presidency of the United States of America.”

[The reference is to David, the youngest of 7 brothers. Trump is nothing like David. He is a perfect representation of King Saul. Next came a paragraph about Trump restoring the fortunes of Zion. Using language out of the Book of Lamentations, in which Jeremiah describes the devastation in Jerusalem after the 526 BCE invasion of Babylon. Clement claims that during Trump’s presidency, the material wealth that was lacking under Obama will flow back to the Israelis. He also addresses the Ukraine revolution, which Clement supports. He actually has a warning of against Russia, which has yet to come to pass. How could he imagine that Trump would be in Putin’s pocket and would try to corrupt the new president of Ukraine in order to assure his own election in 2020? But this lapse doesn’t bother the apostles and prophets that surround Trump. They post their admiration on their own websites and on Elijah List. No one seems to be checking the truth of these predictions. No one wants to know.]

“‘Therefore as you hear my heart,’ says the Lord today, ‘I will take you on a journey. I will first take you to Jerusalem, whom they would give to his enemies. Why would they give half of Jerusalem away? This will not happen,’ says the Lord. ‘But I will take you on a journey today into Jerusalem where it shall be prophesized (sic) by my prophet what the Lord is doing in Jerusalem and in the United States of America at the same time,’ says the Lord. ‘I am restoring the fortunes of Zion. I am restoring the fortunes that were the inheritance of my people. I am restoring the fortunes of the elect of God that have been stolen from you. You will eat your delicacies again [while the Palestinians starve right under your nose] and your children will no longer be your food and shall not use them and take them out of the womb anymore,’ says the Lord.”

But in 2019, we’ll grab children from the arms of their parents and put them in cages with only a mattress on a cement floor on which to sleep because we don’t care about those brown people rushing our borders. “We’re gonna send ‘em the hell back! Do the conservatives think that God doesn’t see and care about crying, frightened children and terrorized parents?

It is highly dangerous telling a president how God wants him/her to formulate foreign policy. Trump is listening to this. It’s not telling him what is right and wrong…it’s telling him where the votes are. It’s not really prophecy to him. It’s like wizardry or magic. He believes it, but he doesn’t seem to really believe in God, because if he did, he should know that if he were to die of C-19, he’d probably wind up in hell. What if a Catholic were elected and the Virgin Mary started dictating our foreign policy? Or if a Mormon were elected and a prophet arises wearing the mantle of Joseph Smith?

Clement predicts that two SCOTUS justices will resign due to scandals about to be uncovered. I don’t think he expected Scalia to die. Kennedy pushed the date of his retirement up twice. This saved his son, who worked for Deutsche Bank, from being investigated. Instead, the lad got a choice position in the Trump WH. News wonks on the Left know that Deutsche Bank is famous for being the only bank that would loan Trump money, in spite of the fact that he reneges on his loans. Someday we will probably learn beyond all doubt that Russia laundered money through them to the Trump family.

“But I wish to replace in the highest court in the land righteousness. And they [who are they?] shall attempt to place others in order to reach their endeavors, but hear me tonight, hear me today. I have this whole thing planned out according to my will.” [He thinks that the Left will conspire to pack the Supreme Court, but our good Lord will thwart it. Didn’t happen, but at the time, it made for a nice rage-inducing accusation.]

“This man has a humble stature, but he is a genius.” [That is so false, I shouldn’t need to comment on it. He is a classic “malicious narcissist” according to a whole consortium of psychologists and psychiatrists. If he is so smart, why does he sue anyone who wants to check his school records?]

Clement predicted the hacking scandal and perhaps the Access Hollywood tape.

“They shall shout, Impeach, Impeach! But nay.” [Nay shmay! He got impeached.]

He predicted that in the days after Obama, Russia would attack us in a new way, but he forgot to mention that Trump would welcome the attack.

“A man of prayer, a man of choice words. Not a man who is verbose, who has verbosity, who speaks too much. They will even say, This man is not speaking enough.” [At this point in time Trump has proven that this depiction of him is absolutely ludicrous. Whether it’s a rally or a briefing, unless he is reading a script, he babbles on for hours, saying things that are nonsense or mean or just generally disgusting. Ironically, this description could describe any former president, but not Donald Trump. Addition for June 1, 2020: Right now there are riots all over the U.S. Trump spent the weekend in the WH bunker with all the lights out. He had a call with Vladimir Putin, then later had a call with the U.S. governors in which he told them they were too weak and needed to dominate the protesters. At the 6 minute mark he says, "we're doing it in Russia." Bill Barr came on after Trump and also used the word "dominate." Today one of the governors said that he wished that Trump would just stop talking! This video shows what happens when you dance with the devil.]

On April 25, 2020, Fintan O'Toole wrote a brilliant article for that was published in Irish Times. Here are a couple of zingers in that article:

"Over more than two centuries, the United States has stirred a very wide range of feelings in the rest of the world: love and hatred, fear and hope, envy and contempt, awe and anger. But there is one emotion that has never been directed towards the US until now: pity." And...

"If he is re-elected, toxicity will have become the lifeblood of American politics. Either way, it will be a long time before the rest of the world can imagine America being great again."

There is more to the prophecy, but I hope I’ve made it clear that Kim Clement is no prophet. The Christians still hold him in very high esteem because they don’t do this kind of analysis. GOP leaders know exactly what they are doing and they will someday face God to answer for their deeds. The average Christian is too busy to follow the news closely. When they do want news, Fox twists them into pretzel knots to where they don’t have a clue what is really happening. My hope is that the Democrat candidates will teach them rather than ignore them.

Show them you understand their issues and explain your point of view. Don’t stoop to doing what they do. You don’t need crystals, fortune tellers, prognosticators. Just do what is right, and heaven will send ten thousand angels to fight beside you. You can fool people, but God doesn’t fall for anyone’s shit. You can’t sail that yacht in hell.

Kim Clement had a stroke in the weeks before the election. He died 13 days after the inauguration.
